The Give Back Group
The Give Back Group is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization with a mission to recognize and support those who support others, and to create a spirit of giving in Birmingham and the surrounding communities.
Realtors who are invited to join TGBG not only possess a high-level of real estate knowledge, they also have a giving heart and are committed to using real estate as a platform for supporting their clients, the community, community heroes, and those in need.
Our Story
In 2016, Bob Kuykendall donated a kidney to another Birmingham man and in 2017, to celebrate the 1 year anniversary, the 2 men planned a trip to Africa to attempt to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for The Kidney Foundation and kidney donation. Just prior to the trip, the kidney recipient had to back out of the trip and he was replaced by Bob's son Cade, only 14 at the time. The last minute change resulted in a life-altering trip for father and son.
On June 8th, 2017, standing at the peak of the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Bob & Cade started planning the creation of an organization that would endeavor to support people who are struggling to climb their own "mountains." That organization became Team Mountain.
Despite their best efforts, Team Mountain struggled to find a consistent source of funding. Then came the “BIG” idea...
The big idea was a new non-profit that derives its funding from Realtors in the Greater Birmingham area, who not only have a high level of real estate expertise, but a heart for giving.
Realtors who are part of The Give Back Group donate a portion of their earnings to support those in need in the local community and beyond.
Giving Back With Every Sale
Each real estate transaction by a member of The Give Back Group ends with much more than a commission check. To a degree, that check is just the beginning. A portion of that check could be a bicycle for a youth in need, a meal for a hungry individual, or a random act of kindness that might spark another good deed, and then another.
Our hope is that our clients become satisfied clients first, then ambassadors for this vision of change.
Impacting Lives In Birmingham And Beyond
(Photo: Right) Cade Kuykendall with Esther, a little girl born in Tanzania, Africa and raised in the Treasures of Africa Orphanage. Esther was possibly the spark of this entire organization. One small child, who never spoke a word, inspired a group of Americans to do better - to create change in the world.
Esther taught us that our world is smaller than it seems. We can support one another even from opposite sides of the globe. We can learn from one another and be inspired by each other. Esther inspired us and we want to inspire others.

About Our Agents
Realtors' success is measured by their sales volume. But we believe to truly measure one's success, we must evaluate the goal they "succeeded" in reaching. For us, those goals should involve more than a paycheck, but people. People we serve and people we are able to impact far beyond the real estate transaction.
